SAVING THE TAXPAYER MONEY
Got rid of pensions for politicians at the Forest Preserve
Eliminated “Presidential Assistant” position, saving the taxpayers $25,000 annually
Passed bi-partisan bond issuance to fund the Master Plan with NO tax hike
Maintained quality services without a tax hike
Increased visitors by 1.7 MILLION people even while the COVID-19 Pandemic was going on, from 4.5 million in 2019 to 6.2 million in 2021
MANAGING OUR NATURAL RESOURCES
Added trail connection throughout DuPage County to assist residents with access regional trails
Completed three major Solar projects, as well as implementing 100% solar powered golf carts in 2019
Implemented solar array at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center
Implemented Blackwell solar array at our fleet building that will power all operations and vehicle charging stations
Presided over the recognized #1 fleet in the United States, with alternative fuel usage at 90%
ENSURING SAFETY
Passed and funded a preventive maintenance plan to ensure that bridges, structures, facilities, and other infrastructure have the funding necessary for repairs, and meet our community’s high standards.
Created one of the safest forest preserves in the Chicagoland area, backed by a study.
